Objectives: 

1. Measure and monitor in near real time several data on the quality of water, air and the sound environment of ecosystems in industrial port zones (IP zones); 

2. Implement an environmental alert system for managers in IP zones to increase responsiveness before an incident occurs; 

3. Better equip all port authorities and IP zone managers to measure the effects of their activities on the environment and make decisions that include the environmental management of the IP zone, while meeting the expectations and concerns of the community; 

4. Collect credible and up-to-date data that is scientifically neutral and promotes social acceptability; 

5. Provide a better understanding of current environmental impacts and the evolution of these impacts in the future, thereby making it possible to identify issues and solutions for preserving ecosystems through sustainable development; 

6. Measure the results of conservation and environmental improvement efforts in the IP zone.
