CargO2ai

The CargO2ai system is a logistics tool with a humanitarian calling. It uses artificial intelligence to quickly identify and prioritize the critical cargo that Canadians need.

Context of the project

In 2020, the particularly difficult health and economic context seriously impacted the processing times for vital cargo needed to fight and prevent the Covid 19 pandemic. The project’s partners then tapped into Montréal’s expertise in artificial intelligence to improve the detection of cargo that is vital to Canadians.

Positive fallout

The project made it possible to identify and deliver medication, medical equipment and food products as quickly as possible in order to avoid supply delays and stock shortages in a particularly precarious economic and health context. This project was developed for the Port of Montréal but is exportable under the funding principles of the federal Scale AI supercluster. Scale AI’s funding allows for the sharing of open-source algorithms that rely on Natural Language Processing (NLP). Contact Scale AI for more details.
